Between 25 and 29 March 2008, the Congress was held In Antalya In Turkey. The conference was organized by the Turkish Patient Safety Association and patients champion and patients organizations. Jolanta Bilińska, president of Patients Safety Foundation in Poland had a honor to participate in this event which brought experts on patient safety, clinicians, policy makers and patient representatives from around the world. The event was organized in order to lay a foundation for global knowledge and experience sharing in such a multidimensional issue as safety and quality of healthcare. I had the opportunity to share with the audience my experience as journalist about media and how to communicate with them, how to stress human face of patient safety issues. It was great meeting and extraordinary chance to learn how to involve patients in their treatment and how they should communicate with medical staff.
