National Forum on Quality and Safety of the Health Care Services: Challenges and Success was held on 26 September 2008 in the Government Palace of the Republic of Lithuania. The event was organized by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Committee on Health Affairs of the Parliament of LR, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania and Lithuanian Health Management Association.
More than four hundred attendees took part in the Forum event, including politicians, clinicians, managers, administrators, representatives of the health care and patients organizations.
The main topic which was discussed during the Forum is the co-operation issues how to secure quality and safety of health care services. Also, the best practice examples of health care succession and co-ordination will be provided.
